#8Sunday, #SaturdaySpankings: From Warrior…so crazy it might work

Welcome to the weekly installment of Saturday Spankings (Saturday) and Weekend Writing Warriors (Sunday), two weekend blog hops in which authors post eight-sentences excerpt.

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000040_00014]In this snippet from my newly released sci-fi romance Warrior, heroine Anika is wanted for murder by a despotic Qalin. There is a big bounty on her head. On the run and in male disguise, she is asked to assist with transporting a load of breeders to Qalin himself.

Marlix wanted her home; Ilian wanted to breed with her. Qalin wanted her…dead. Alone and on foot, she could not elude capture for much longer anyway. Marlix, one of the most strategic and astute males she’d ever met, often had counseled the best place to hide was under the searcher’s nose. Hadn’t he abducted Tara from the Terran Bazaar within Dak’s province and hidden at Dak’s Enclave? Qalin would never think to search for her within his own abode.

Hiding in an enemy’s stronghold seemed crazy.

So crazy it might work.

Warrior blurb

Between war and duty, they find love…

On a planet where women are chattel, Anika is to be delivered to become the mate of an Alpha Commander. Secretly in love with another, she is unable to accept the arrangement and flees. Bound by his duty, her lover Urazi intended to bring her back to fulfill her function. But war intervenes, and as their planet fights a desperate battle against a villainous despot, Anika and Urazi become united in their determination to save their people. But with their lives on the line, the love they share may become the biggest risk of all.

Though Warrior is third in the Breeder series, it is written to be read as a stand-alone.
