Q: How is Trapped with the Cyborg similar to the other books in the Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance series?
A: Like the other three books in the series, Trapped with the Cyborg features a macho, sexy-as-hell cyborg hero who’s fighting to save the galaxy and the girl. Also, like the other books, it’s a stand-alone read. You don’t have to read the other books to enjoy the story.
A: In two primary ways. First, this is the first book of the series to feature a cyborg heroine. Amanda Mansfield is tough and powerful. Any man who thinks she needs rescuing is likely to get his ass kicked. Second, readers will get to go where they haven’t gone before! The Lamis-Odg aliens have been in previous books, but this is the first time readers will get to visit their planet. Be careful! Lol.
Q: Tell me about the hero and heroine.
A: Cyborg Sonny Masters was a secondary character in book 3, Captured by the Cyborg. Readers wanted to hear his story, so in Trapped with the Cyborg, he’s the hero. Sonny is a former street kid and thug who cleaned up his act after the death of his sister. Amanda Mansfield is a former military commander who was medically discharged following an injury that almost killed her. Becoming a cyborg gave her another chance to prove her mettle. Sonny and Amanda have volunteered to undertake a dangerous mission, in which there’s a good chance they won’t make it home alive.
Q: What exactly is a cyborg?
A: A cyborg is a human being who has some computer or mechanical parts. All the cyborgs of the series have a microprocessor implanted in their brains, and nanocytes (robotic cells) in their veins give them strength and stamina. They are basically “super humans,” although aliens also can be cyborgs. My cyborgs belong to a covert paramilitary organization called Cyber Operations. Their mission is to fight terrorism in the galaxy.
Q: What inspired the series?
A: I fell in love with cyborgs who are the ultimate macho, alpha males. So they became the characters. The theme of the series was inspired by present day religious terrorism. The series is risky, adventurous, fun, sexy, and often funny.
Q: How does the Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance series compare to cyborg romances by other authors?
A: Like the others, my stories are erotic romances featuring macho, sexy men. The difference is that in most other books, cyborgs were created by an evil government, and they struggle to free themselves from oppression. My cyborgs fight to save others from oppression. They volunteer to put themselves in harm’s way to rescue others. I wanted to create romantic heroes who were truly heroic. Also, not only is the Cy-Ops series a sexy read, there is quite a bit a humor in it. Even though the characters’ situations can be dire, many light moments will make readers laugh. The opening chapters of Trapped with the Cyborg are especially amusing. Readers are let in on a secret that that the characters don’t know.
The only thing more dangerous than a suicide mission is falling in love…
Amanda Mansfield has faced challenges in her life: the disapproval of her critical father and the near-fatal accident that ended a promising military career and resulted in her transformation to cyborg. Now a Cyber Operations field agent, she volunteers to lead the most dangerous Cy-Ops mission ever: infiltrating enemy territory to find the secret hideaway of a terrorist mastermind. The last thing she needs is an added complication.
Like him. Sonny Masters. Her partner. A streetwise former thug turned cyber operative with a lethal grin. He can’t seem to understand she’s in charge and does not require his protection. He’s everything she dislikes—and everything her body wants.
If they can keep their hands off each other long enough to complete the mission, they might just get out alive…
Trapped with the Cyborg (Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance 4) is a standalone read.
