Anna Hackett writes action-packed #SFR in her NEW neat, tidy office #AuthorsInSpace

By Anna Hackett

I have literally just moved into a new house and finally unpacked my desk, chair, and bookcases. I am SO excited to have my office back together! This is where I spend my time writing my action-packed romances, while sipping my Earl Grey tea or Diet Coke and penning a fight scene or daring rescue.

As a former engineer, I keep my office pretty clean (no clutter!) I will confess to a being a notebook junkie (I do all my plotting by hand in my pretty notebooks – my current favorite being a gorgeous Moleskine sent to me by an awesome reader). My bookcases are filled with paperbacks of my books ready for giveaways. On my shelves, you might also spy some of the writing awards my books have won, some Star Wars keepsakes (not all mine, as the love of my life, Mr H, is a huge Star Wars fan), and a fabulous set of dino bookends I got for Christmas from a wonderful Hell Squad fan.

I absolutely love my special poster that I keep on the wall (I’ll never own too many books!), and in one corner is a comfy chair for reading and a sexy gladiator calendar in honor of my own Galactic Gladiators. I was a reader long before I was a writer, and I love sitting back with an awesome book. It inspires to tell my own stories of tough heroes, smart heroines, and action-packed romance.

Bio:

I’m Anna Hackett and I’m a USA Today bestselling author who’s passionate about action romance. I love stories that combine the thrill of falling in love with the excitement of action, danger and adventure. I write about people overcoming unbeatable odds and achieving seemingly impossible goals. I like to believe it’s possible for all of us to do the same.

Crashed on an Ice World

He’s her boss. She’s his best friend. These two deep-space convoy security specialists are fighting their simmering attraction…until a starship crash on a deadly ice world changes everything.

Elana Korra loves her security job as a medic on the convoy ship, the Sky Nomad…except for the fact that she’s in love with her boss. Rynan is tough, loyal, and protective, and she knows he will never cross the line with her despite her deepest fantasies. But one scorching kiss sets up a smoldering tension, and as they head off into uncharted space on a treasure hunt to find an invaluable old Earth treasure, Elana knows it is time to make a change—get Ry to admit how he feels about her or leave. But a deadly attack leaves Ry and Elana on a damaged, out-of-control ship hurtling toward an unforgiving ice world.

Rynan Phoenix lives for his job of keeping the Phoenix Deep-Space Convoy safe. The nightmare of his childhood has taught him to steer well clear of romantic relationships, and he’s forced himself to ignore Elana’s compact body and gorgeous face. But when they find themselves stranded on an ice world with passengers to protect and space pirates hunting them down, Ry is forced to confront just how he feels about the most important woman in his life.

Ry and Elana will need all of their training in order to keep themselves alive. As they find hints to the old Earth treasure, their desire turns hotter and deeper…but then they discover that far more dangerous things call this ice planet home…

  1. Love how simple your office is. I used to keep my giveaway books out and family kept grabbing “just one”. LOL. Now they’re in boxes but we’re also moving and changing things so I might set up space again. Thanks for the peek into your office.

I love keeping it simple, Michelle! Then I can keep it tidy 😀 No one is allowed to touch my books on penalty of really bad things!! We will be moving again in a year (we are building a new house) and I’m getting a brand-new office just for me. Very excited. Good luck with yours!
