Six Sentence Sunday: Secret Desires

Thank you for dropping by. My Six Sentence Sunday excerpt is from my erotic romance ménage, Secret Desires, published by Black Velvet Seductions. The story is about Jack and Morgan, two non-vanilla people who are each convinced the other one only likes vanilla (and I’m not talking ice cream). One of my first SSS excerpts was from Morgan’s POV. Today, I’m sharing a snippet of Jack’s:

He couldn’t even bring himself to talk to her about it, afraid she would reject not only his suggestions, but him, too. He should stop obsessing about what he couldn’t have and be satisfied with PB & J. That’s how he thought of their sex life—it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It took the edge off his appetite, but it didn’t fulfill his real hunger. Like switching from grape to strawberry jam or from smooth to crunchy peanut butter, their sex life varied a little, but it was still basically the same. PB & J wasn’t the kind of sandwich he craved.

  1. What a great analogy. A steady diet of P&B would get rather boring. *G
And I can see how this would be something hard to talk about for a couple.

  19. Wow, I really loved this analogy. Very realistic, I loved how he explained it you could feel the emotion behind it. Not wanting to hurt her by talking about it but still needing more. I wonder how long he can fend off his own yearning before something goes wrong … great six!

  20. Xakara says:

Perfect descrip! I feel for him. PB&J is great, but sometimes you need a grilled six-cheese with bacon on sourdough to feel sated and yourself. Just sayin’ *grin*
