Body Politics Cover Reveal! Release one day away!

Brace yourself for the epic battle of the sexes! Loose Id will release Body Politics tomorrow, Tuesday, January 8, 2013. This is the third novel in the Rod and Cane Society domestic discipline erotic romance series. Authors often compare their books to their children–how can you pick a  favorite? *Looks around* Ssh! Don’t tell the others, but Body Politics might be my favorite. The story grew out of my own interest in feminism and in writing spanking romances. How do domestic discipline and gender equality mesh? Can they?

(Today I’m guest blogging on Ana Vitsky’s blog about feminism and domestic discipline. If you want to know how the two work in real life as opposed to fiction, please join the discussion on Ana’s blog.)

In Body Politics, I pit a march-walking, card-carrying feminist against the deputy chief of police who’s a card-carrying member of the Rod and Cane Society, a secret organization of men who practice domestic discipline and spank their women. Stephanie and Mark are fixed up on a blind date. Can you imagine two more unlikely candidates? Watch the sparks fly!

What I tried to demonstrate in this book is the give and take that exists in all relationships, even DD ones. Play close attention to how Mark treats Stephanie on their dates.  This is the first book in which I included a epilogue. Compare what happens in the last “chapter” to what happens in the epilogue. Okay…I’ve hinted enough.

During my “release week,” Tuesday through Friday, January 8 -11, 2013, I’ll post an excerpt from Body Politics, and will award a $5  Loose Id gift certificate each day to one person who comments. If you comment all four days, you have four chances to win.

When Loose Id releases Body Politics, it will be available in all ebook formats on the Loose Id site first. It will appear on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ARe, Fictionwise a few weeks later. Although Body Politics is third in the Rod and Cane series, each book is written as a stand alone and can be read out of order. (And, yes, more are planned…)

Body Politics Blurb

Feminist Stephanie Gordon knows the instant she meets blind date Mark DeLuca it’s not going to work. Sure the deputy chief of police is criminally sexy, but he’s arrogant, domineering and sexist. Thank goodness after the evening ends, she’ll never have to see him again.

A member of the Rod and Cane Society, an organization of men who spank, Mark DeLuca is attracted to Stephanie like a paddle to a well-rounded ass. He sees beneath the shield of feminist militancy to the soft, sensitive woman she tries to hide. When she storms away in a snit, the chase is on. Can a spanko convince a diehard feminist her true strength lies in submission?

Other Rod and Cane Society novels:

Book one – Unexpected Consequences, a naive bride marries a member of the Rod and Cane Society and discovers that ALL men in the organization spank their wives — including hers.

Book two – False Pretenses, an aspiring journalist goes undercover at the Rod and Cane Society, but when she learns her new boyfriend is a member, will her hot story lead to a hot bottom instead?
