#8Sunday: Are the voices real or is she crazy?

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors and 8Sunday. If you have not read last week’s post, you might want to catch it here. It will make this week’s more meaningful. I’m excerpting from Destiny’s Chance, an erotic paranormal romance. After a tragic car accident, Destiny, the heroine, discovers she has been reincarnated in her best friend’s body. Zoe’s ex-boyfriend, with whom Destiny has had a secret crush, has taken her home from the hospital to recover. He thinks she’s Zoe. In this scene, Destiny is taking a shower…

She would resemble her, but she didn’t need to smell like her. “Zoe, I’m sorry, but I can’t be you,” she whispered.

“Be yourself. That’s what he wants.” As if Zoe had stood beside Destiny and spoken, her throaty voice had resonated loud and clear.

Destiny dropped the shampoo bottle and stifled a shriek. Feeling foolish, she poked her head out of the shower curtain. She was alone.

Destiny’s Chance Blurb

Destiny Grable can’t help that she’s fallen in love with  Chance Everett, her best friend’s boyfriend, but she’s never, ever acted on her feelings — until she and Zoe are in a car accident, her friend is killed, and she is reincarnated in her body. She never wished for something like this to happen, but perhaps now she’ll be free to love Chance the way she always wanted to.

Chance might have had pursued Destiny, but he has a kinky side and she was a nice girl. But now she’s dead, and the accident has forced him to take in his ex-girlfriend. As soon as she recovers and moves out, he’ll get on with his life.

Will two star-crossed lovers find happiness?
