Recommended Reads for September

August was a month of amazing reads–which I’m now recommending to you for September. When books are really good, I read faster, and I read more books. I have to say, I was a tad surprised when I received my visa bill for Kindle purchases. I bought that many? Ahem.

The Best of 1950s Wife Vol 2 (spanking satire) by Claire Colingrove – A compilation of  satirical blogs about naughty wives. Spanking gone retro. A hoot.

The Marriage Agenda (contemporary erotic romance) by Sarah Ballance – A senatorial candidate contacts the ex-girlfriend he jilted with an arranged marriage proposal.

Unmasked (paranormal romance) by Allie Ritch – He has evidence the government bad guys want; she’s the sexual psychic hired to get him to talk.

Given to the Savage (bdsm sci-fi romance)  by Natasha Knight – Formerly titled His to Breed. Due to a plague, only 10 percent of the population can reproduce. She’s one of them. She’s given to a “barbarian” to be impregnated in hopes of producing another breeder. Contains  a strong dose of medical humiliation.

Cat Nip (Jinx book 1) (paranormal) by Gem Sivad – She’s a witch with healing magic, he’s a sexy cat shifter who can’t stay away. Love the tone and characters in this book. BTW, this book is only 99 cents!

Pleasure Bay (BDSM) by Maddie Taylor and Melody Parks -Four interwoven stories of four couples finding love at a BDSM tropical resort. Well written. Great scenery. I felt like I was at the resort!

For Ben (spanking romance) by Kate Richards – Book six of the Corbin’s Bend series about a community of spankos. After the death of family members, this couple in a struggling marriage become instant parents. Can they get it together “for Ben?”

Taming Naia (bdsm) by Natasha Knight – A re-release of Naia and the Professor. He’s a college professor whose career is ruined when a student accuses him of spanking her. Years later, she tries to make amends. He’ll forgive her if she takes the spanking she accused him of. Very well done. My favorite book of Natasha Knight’s so far

The Coach’s Discipline (spanking romance) by Katherine Deane -She’s a marathoner who needs a little discipline to achieve her goals. Can her coach provide it? You’d never know this was only Katherine Deane’s second book. Well written and realistic.

  1. I’m on there twice. Thank you very much! I’ve read a few of the book on your list and agree, especially on Coach’s Discipline. Nice list – sorry about your bill! 🙂

I’d been wanting to read Naia for a long time. I had the sample in my Kindle when it was Naia and the Professor. Then I went to buy it and it was GONE! So glad you re-released it.

  2. Gem Sivad says:

Woot!! Jinx made it to a favorite book list. I’m so glad you enjoyed Maggie and Hunter’s story. I’ve wanted to play in that world for a while now. Thanks so much for liking my little witch. 🙂

  3. Livia Grant says:

Great list, Cara! I’ve read some of them. Thanks for giving me more ideas of what to 1-click on. My husband will be thrilled. 🙂 I’m glad to see Natasha’s books on your list. I love both of them too! I think Coach’s Discipline is next up on my to-read list.

  4. It’s an absolute honor to make your list. Thank you so very much! I’m thrilled you enjoyed Knox and Chloe’s story. 🙂

  5. Melody Parks says:

I think Cat Nip has me most intrigued right now. I have so, so many unread books on my kindle right now. I know I’ll never get through the half of them, but what’s one more right?
Thank you so much for recommending Pleasure Bay

    • Cara Bristol says:

Hope springs eternal that I will one day read all the books in my Kindle. Ha! Only if I get stranded on a island, and my Kindle battery can hold out. Of course, if it’s an island like Pleasure Bay, I won’t get any reading done. 🙂

  6. Jule Kijek says:

Thanks for all the recommendations. I have added a few to my Amazon “Wish List”.
