#SaturdaySpankings, #8Sunday: From Warrior…the stakes are high…

Only 10 days until the release of Warrior, the third and final book of the Breeder sci-fi romance series. Warrior releases on Tuesday, Oct. 21. When it debuts, I’ll offer two new release prize drawings: one for $25 in chocolate, another for a $75 Amazon gift card. Details here.

The scene for this week’s snippet: Urazi and Anika have been camped out; she’s on the run from the bad guys. He wakes up in the morning to discover she has fled (again). But just in the nick of time, because moments later, the bad guys arrive…

Warrior coming Oct. 21!

Warrior coming Oct. 21!

Urazi had a heart-stopping moment when the leader removed his crossbow from his shoulder—but it was only to shift it to the other side. Mouth dry, Urazi asked, “What shall I do if run across the female you seek?”

“Apprehend her and bring her to one of Qalin’s outposts. You will be rewarded. A bounty of 150 gilia rests on her head.”

“So much?” He gasped. For a fortune of that size, many would join in pursuit.

“The alpha she killed was one of Alpha Qalin’s subcommanders.”

(Breeder readers might remember that Dak purchased Omra for 50 gilia. Qalin wants her baaaad.)

Warrior blurb

A female fighting for freedom. A male armed with determination. Can they save their people?

As a despotic Qalin marches through Parseon intent on conquering every province, Commander Marlix pledges his sister to another Alpha to protect her. Desperate to decide her own fate, Anika flees and finds refuge with the guerilla resistance movement against Qalin. Marlix’s beta Urazi, a male of lesser status, tracks her intending to bring her home to fulfill her duty. But when love blossoms between them, and provinces fall to Qalin, Anika and Urazi realize home has ceased to exist and they alone are all that stand between the people of Parseon and the end of the world.
