#SpankA2Z: V is for Vintage

A2Z-logo2015Welcome to day 22  of the 2nd Annual Spanking A to Z blog challenge. Throughout  June, spanking fiction authors will post a blog corresponding to a different letter of the alphabet, beginning with A and ending with Z. Many of the blogs, including mine, will focus on some aspect of spanking and/or the authors’ books, but you’ll also run across many random, but fun topics.

V is for Vintage

I’ve been working on story set in the 1950, so I’ve been doing a lot of research into the clothing, food, automobiles, housing, music, & fads of the time. The fashion and furniture of the period would be considered “vintage.”

By definition vintage is anything older than 20 years. So the 70s and even 80s are considered vintage.( An antique is older than 100 years old; and retro is something that looks out of place for the period.).

Once I started pinning my finds to Pinterest, I was amazed at the interest in vintage–the number of boards out there–and the number of people who repinned my pins. Cars, I suppose, don’t surprise me, but quite a few people have vintage clothing boards. Many people have grouped the 1950s and 1960s together, and that kind of got me sucked into the 1960s. I was a child in the 60s, and I saw many things I remembered. That led to the 1970s when I was teenager, and wow, the memories.

So I have two vintage boards on Pinterest.

Memories, 1960s and 1070s, what I remember from childhood and adolescence
