#8Sunday: Stranded with the Cyborg…something to be wary of…

Coming September 22, 2015

Brock Mann, a cyberoperative, has been called to Cy-Op director’s office. Carter, his boss, has told him he would like him to escort an ambassador to a Summit meeting. Carter is the first one speaking.

“She has a meeting with the Xenian emperor to convince him to send a delegate to the Summit and join the AOP. She fears showing up with a security detail will send the message there’s something to be wary of.”

“Isn’t there?” Brock said drily, and then added, “if the ambassador has refused security then I don’t see why it’s our problem.”

“I was asked for a favor.”

The bad premonition that Brock had gotten when he’d received the summons, and again when Carter had broken out the brandy grew stronger.

“The ambassador is Mikala Aaron’s daughter,” Carter said.

Sonofabitch. “Pia?”

Carter nodded.

Pia–short for Penelope Isabella Aaron, or as Brock had code-named his former protectee, Pain in the Ass.

Unofficial blurb for Stranded with the Cyborg

The daughter of the Terran president, Penelope Aaron resented the restrictions imposed upon her, but that was no reason to take it out on the man assigned to protect her. She regrets how she got Agent Brock Mann booted from the security force. But now that she’s an interplanetary ambassador about to embark on her first diplomatic mission, she still doesn’t want him tagging along. Especially since he seems to be stronger, faster, more muscled, and sexier than she remembers. And pretending to be her husband?  This mission couldn’t get more impossible!

Ten years ago Penelope Isabella Aaron had been a pain in Brock Mann’s you-know-what. Much has changed in a decade: “PIA” as he code-named her, has grown up and is about to attend her first Alliance of Planets summit conference, and Brock was transformed into a cyborg after a near-fatal attack. Now a secret agent with Cyber Operations, a covert paramilitary organization, Brock gets called in, not when the going gets tough, but when the going gets impossible. So when he’s unexpectedly assigned to escort Penelope to the summit meeting, he balks at babysitting a prissy ambassador. But after a terrorist bombing, a crash landing on a hostile planet, and a growing attraction to his protectee, Operation: PIA may become his most impossible assignment yet.

Note: I am known for my spanking romances. Stranded with the Cyborg does NOT contain spanking. Just a hotter than hot cyborg who’s rough, tough and all man.

  1. Gemma Parkes says:

Snappy snippet, very realistic and funny at the end with that pun with the initials!

  2. I loved the PIA acronym.

  3. Getting better and better and then the punch line. Terrific snippet, Cara

  4. It’ll be interesting to see how his being a cyborg factors in to their relationship.

  5. Ha, nice! One wonders how many ways Brock is about to try and talk his way out of this assignment!!

  6. Enjoying the excerpts, can’t wait to devour the entire story at once! I too loved the acronym he has for the lady….

  7. I’ve never gotten the “don’t show fear” thing. If there are people out there who want to hurt you, you have people to protect you. It’s just common sense…

  8. Tina Christopher says:

Another intriguing snippet that leaves me hungry for more! Great job.

  9. I’ve often described myself as “your favorite PIA” – guess I shouldn’t brag about that. I laughed when I saw that expression here. Great snippet.

  10. PITA, eh? LOL! Great snippet
