Here’s a quick update on my future plans, immediate and mid-term.
Meet me in St. Louis
On Thursday, I leave for Penned Con, an author/reader conference in St. Louis, Mo (Sept. 24 & 25) withe panels, workshops and a big book fair. I’ll be signing books at the day-long book fair both days and will be giving away heart magnet chip clips. Though most of my books are in ebook format only, I do have paperbacks of Captured by the Cyborg, the Goddess’s Curse, and Naughty Words for Nice Writers. Tickets to the event are $20 for either day or $35 for both days. See more about Penned Con here.
Gonna be a G’Day
Upon my return on Monday, my husband I will have breakfast with Deanna of Deanna’s World and her husband. Deanna is a book blogger from Australia! They’re coming to our house!
My next book to be published will be Pets In Space, an anthology with eight other sci-fi romance authors. Each science fiction romance features a pet of some sort. My story is called Spark of Attraction and features a cyborg hero, a Terran colonist heroine, a robot dog named Sparky, and some evil aliens. Ten percent of the first month’s profits of Pets in Space will be donated to Hero-Dogs.org, an organization that trains service animals for veterans.
Coming soon: Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance No. 5
And continuing with cyborgs, the next Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance will be Claimed by the Cyborg. I have almost 20K words done, and expect to release the book in January 2107. I don’t have a cover or a blurb yet, but I can tell you that the hero is March Fellows, who was a secondary character in Captured by the Cyborg. The heroine is Princess Julietta of Xenia. She made her cameo appearance in Married to the Cyborg, the freebie Cy-Ops extra my newsletter subscribers received last week.
If you’d like to get a copy of Married to the Cyborg and see what the series is all about, sign up for my newsletter. After you confirm your subscription, you’ll receive a welcome email that will contain a download link for your free book. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
Glitz. Glamour. Kidnapping.
Anyone who is anyone attends the annual Association of Planets gala, the largest, fanciest soiree in the galaxy. Escorted by her husband Brock, Penelope “Pia” Aaron attends the event, to mix and mingle with the galaxy’s power elite to further her career as an AOP ambassador.
Brock Mann isn’t there to serve as his wife’s plus-one. A cyborg and a field agent with the covert force Cyber Operations, Brock knows the glitzy, glamorous evening isn’t going to end happily for one individual. An intercepted partial communique has revealed that one gala attendee will be the target of a kidnapping. Who the intended victim is, why the person is being taken and by whom—that’s what Cy-Ops must find out to stop the abduction.
And then Pia is taken.
Without knowing who or why she was targeted, Brock must race against the clock to find his wife before she’s killed.
Saving the girl and the galaxy just got personal.
