I blog, therefore, I am.
I like blogging. It’s me. As a kid, I kept a diary. I was “opinion editor” of my college newspaper. I wrote a weekly column when I worked as a newspaper reporter. I was born to blog.
In reviewing the year, I’ve compiled a list of the most popular blogs of 2016. The criteria for “popular” include greatest number of visits, comments, and/or shares. Excluded from the list are my weekly Weekend Writing Warriors posts, which always get a lot of comments and contest posts where people could win something. Also omitted is my no. 1 most visited post of the year, which was the unveiling of my website “redo.” You’re here, you’re looking at it, so you don’t need to revisit it.
With those exclusions, here are my most popular blogs of 2016:
How to get the most out of your snippet hop
10 author taglines you won’t see (humor)
On new cars, moving fast and being a technowienie
Behind the book, what readers don’t know about character names
Author mugshots: authors show off their favorite coffee cups
The secret to taking a good selfie
How to organize your Kindle so you can find your books
Pets In Space challenge, see me dressed as an alien
9 tips for writing book reviews fast
Things they don’t tell you about being an author
In blogging, I try to balance book promotion with informational and/or fun blogs like those above. If you’d like to be emailed when I have new posts, there’s a signup box at the top of the sidebar on the right (It says, subscribe to my posts).
Those were all great posts! Looking forward to many more in 2017.
Thanks! I have some great blogs planned for 2017.
Keep those great blogs coming in the upcoming year, Cara.
I especially want to do more with science fiction romance in general.
These were excellent posts. Great information and I learned quite a lot from you and I’m sure that others also loved the blogs.
Thanks, Laurel. I appreciate all your visits.
