Can you believe half the year is gone ? When 2017 rolled around and I looked ahead at the books that needed to be written, published, and promoted, I didn’t know how I would accomplish it all. I filled up my whiteboard, worked through it, erased it, and filled it up again.
With half the year over, I feel work has slowed a bit and I can relax. (No, Fate, that is not an invitation for you to strike me with some calamity!).
Here’s what you can expect from me in the second half:
Warrior, the conclusion of the Breeder trilogy will be published, the exact date is TBD (the date on the whiteboard is tentative). It will probably go on preorder in late July.
Krinar’s Desire, a Kindle Worlds romance based on the Krinar Chronicles (by Anna Zaires) will be published on September 12. There won’t a preorder, and since it’s Kindle Worlds, it will only be available on Amazon.
Embrace the Romance: Pets in Space 2 will be released October 10. The anthology includes my story Rescued by the Cyborg, a Cy-Ops Sci-fi Romance. Rescued will give Cy-Ops fans a fix to tide them over until Carter’s story is published. PISA 2 goes on preorder everywhere on July 15.
October 19-22, I’ll attend and sign books at the Ozark Indie Bookfest in Springfield, Missouri. I’ll be participating in a panel discussion about newsletters and street teams (Oct. 20).
The next new book published will be Carter’s story; I started writing it last week. The working title is Hunted by the Cyborg. It will probably be finished in the fall, but it won’t be released until January 2018. I don’t want it to compete with the release of Krinar’s Desire or Pets in Space (and contractually I can’t release a book within 30 days of the release of PISA anyway), which would put the next available release date into the middle of November. By then we’re into the holiday season, and historically, that’s a bad time to release a nonholiday book. So I’ll hold Hunted by the Cyborg until January.
After Hunted, I’ll begin writing the Alien Mate 2 for an early spring release. I’m considering turning Conversations with DH into a book, and publishing maybe February-ish.
Did I say I was relaxed?
