What is your passion? Your big dream?
There were three things I wanted more than anything.
First, I wanted to write and publish books. At the end of my life, if I hadn’t become an author, I would have suffered big regrets. I’ve never worked harder or longer at anything, because this is it for me. I started writing fiction (ahem) 30 years ago. Eighteen years ago, I got my first fiction piece published (in Good Housekeeping!), and 10 years ago, my first book was published. I stuck to it when a lot of writers gave up because there is nothing else in the entire world I would rather do. I’m lucky writing is portable. I can write anywhere.
The other two big things I always wanted were to be married (did it) and to own a home (did it), because I’m a nester by nature. I have to have a place to roost. But what if it hadn’t been possible to get all three? What if I had choose? Argh!!!
I drew inspiration from my passion for writing romance in creating Moxie Maguire, the heroine of SIXX: Dakonian Alien Mail Order Brides. Her big dream is to start her own video game company. She’s been working long hours at another company, writing her own games on the side, and saving her money. She is so close to success when she meets Sixx – her dream man.
However, Sixx is a single dad. His son is back on Dakon so he has to return to his planet. If you’ve read any of the Alien Mate or Dakonian books, you know that Dakon is a primitive planet caught in an ice age. There is one computer for the entire population. If Moxie is going to achieve her dream, she can’t go to Dakon. And Sixx can’t abandon his son.
So, back to you…

She wants a man who’s got her six…
He needs a mate with enough moxie to leave Earth…
Software developer Moxie Maguire has a BIG dream—save enough money to start her own video game company. That’s why she logs fourteen hours days working for an obnoxious boss. But when life seems to be passing her by, she sets another goal—meet Mr. Right, a man who can support her dream. She joins the Intergalactic Dating Agency and is matched with a hot and horned alien named…Sixx. Sexy as heck, a good listener, family-oriented—he’s the perfect man to share a life with.
If only that life was on Earth.
Sixx has a dream, too. Find a mate, settle down, and raise kits. With females in short supply on his planet, this single dad heads for Earth to get a female and get back to Dakon and his young son. The instant he meets Moxie, he recognizes she’s his Fated Mate. They’re meant to be together.
But he won’t abandon his child. And, unfortunately, his planet has even fewer computers than females. One for the entire planet, to be exact.
Will two Fated Mates have to part? Or can they find a way to work it out?
