Inquiring minds want to know–when will Terran, the second book in the Breeder sci-fi romance series be released?
My editor with Loose Id has given me a date, but until it gets closer, I can’t reveal the exact day, but…Breeder 2: Terran is slated to be released mid-May 2014. I should be entering editing soon with Loose Id because the line-edits are due the end of this month.
Also, I thought I’d share the tentative title of Breeder 3. Are you ready…are you sure… Breeder 3 will be–Warrior! I say tentative because the publisher gets the final say on what the title is. The main character (s) has appeared in earlier books, but I am keeping mum on who to avoid spoilers.
At this point, I am still contemplating whether to write a prequel about how Parseon got to be so dominated by males and/or a sequel to the trilogy of what happens years in the future after the story/situation is wrapped up in Warrior.
Unofficial blurb for Terran
As vigilante killings in protest of the heterodox Enclave and its deviant male-female couplings increase across Parseon, Commander Marlix seeks protective uniforms for his inner guard. The special composite fabric is only available from the Terrans, with whom his planet has an alliance. He expects to be repulsed by the vendoress of an alien race he loathes, but instead he is amused and attracted by the female’s bold appearance and brash behavior. When she is injured in an attack, he whisks her away to his underground bunker abode to recover. His intent is to help her, so he can’t understand. Why does she fight him
After fleeing loneliness and heartache on Terra, Tara Diehl has adjusted to male-dominated Parseon better than most vendors until she is kidnapped by an Alpha, one of the five rulers of the planet. At first she’s terrified of her tall, muscled abductor, especially when he doesn’t hesitate to quell her struggles with some force of his own. After all her methods and ploys to escape fail, she decides to seduce her way to freedom.
But out of seduction and subterfuge grow a true intimacy that cause both Marlix and Tara to take action that drives Parseon to the brink of civil war, and threatens their relationship and her life.
Terran, the second book in the Breeder sci-fi series, is a “capture” romance involving a domineering but hunky alien, a female with a bad dye job and an even worse attitude, graphic sex, and spanking.
Breeder Blurb
To secure his legacy, Commander Dak, a ruling Alpha of planet Parseon, purchases Omra, a breeder slave. He intends to impregnate her, produce a son, and hand her off to his anointed beta partner. As Dak and Omra discover a sexual bliss banned by law, he begins to question the traditions and ways of his people, causing him to jeopardize his command and endanger the life of the woman he has come to love.
Breeder contains M/F and M/M sexual practices and domestic discipline.

I hope you’ll come back on Tuesday and Thursday, March 4, and 6, when I will feature two of my most favorite authors. On March 4, I’ll have an interview with Lisa Medley. Her Urban Fantasy novel Reap & Repent debuted today. It is a fabulously witty, clever, funny, sexy scary story. I can’t say enough good about it (I read an advance copy). On March 6, I’ll have a spotlight on Karla Doyle and her latest contemporary erotic romance, A Cup of Sugar. Karla is one of my auto-buy authors, and this book is next on my list.
Cool! Looking forward to it. 🙂
Thanks, Jessica.
I’m happy to know you are planning on more and more Breeder books! Exciting!
Thanks, Sue.
A third one! Wow. You’re on a roll. When did you start writing Breeder? About a year ago? What an interesting year it’s been!
I think I started writing Breeder near the end of last April, because I posted my first excerpt on May 29, 2013, and I had 30,000 words of the first draft done. I signed the contract on July 20, 2013 (the anniversary of the first moon walk–appropriate for Sci-fi!), and it was published Oct. 15. I did most of the first of Terran for Nanowrimo, then submitted it to Loose Id Jan. 9, 2014. It took a month to get a contract (grr…), which I signed Feb. 15.
I doubt I will begin writing Warrior before April. I have to wrap up Long Shot, my Corbin’s Bend DD story, and then DH & have an out-of-town trip planned. I’m hoping to submit Warrior by early July, figuring on a fall publication date.
Poor Liz Davenport of the Rod and Cane Society just gets pushed aside. After Warrior, I’ll start writing Rod and Cane 5.
I wish I was a faster writer.
I bet the Liz Davenport story will be very different when you write it this year than it would have been if you’d written it last year when planned.
Yeah, Liz is going to be a lot hornier, given how long she’s had to wait. 🙂 I have a bout 20K written. I imagine picking up the thread will be a challenge.
