An official release date for ‘The Feminist and the Dom’…

January 8, 2013 is the official release date of The Feminist and Dom. I anticipate that the release will follow the pattern of my other Loose Id books and be available only on the publisher’s website for the first couple of weeks before hitting online book sellers like Amazon, BN.com, ARe, etc. All ebook formats are available on Loose Id’s site so you’ll be able to get it for Kindle, Nook, etc.

What isn’t official yet is the title! This third book in the Rod and Cane Society series will have a different name. I’d blogged about the need for a new title, and a lot people came forth with great suggestions that helped get the mental wheels to turn. What I learned is that you all liked the “feminist” angle, so the title I finally came up with and that I think my publisher has accepted has a connection to feminism, although “feminism/feminist” is not spelled out. (And for a bit of trivia, the title came to me when I was in the shower!).

The Rod and Cane Society is series of domestic discipline erotic romances about a secret organization of men who spank their women to maintain discipline in the home. The books are written as stand alones, so you don’t need to read them in order to enjoy the stories. However, if you do read them in order, you will see the Society progress and change. In the first Rod and Cane novel, Unexpected Consequences, a naive bride marries a member only to find out too late what her new husband really expects! In the second book, False Pretenses, an aspiring reporter goes undercover at Rod and Cane to expose the organization and write a big story. What she doesn’t know is that her new boyfriend is a member.

Here’s the blurb I had submitted with my manuscript of the third book:

Feminist Stephanie Gordon knows the instant she meets blind date Mark DeLuca it’s not going to work. Sure the deputy chief of police is criminally sexy, but he’s arrogant, domineering and sexist. Thank goodness after the evening ends, she’ll never have to see him again.

A member of the Rod and Cane Society, an organization of men who spank, Mark DeLuca is attracted to Stephanie like a paddle to a well-rounded ass. He sees beneath the shield of feminist militancy to the soft, sensitive woman she tries to hide. When she storms away in a snit, the chase is on. Can a Dom convince a diehard feminist her true strength lies in submission?

I hope to announce the title soon! Thanks everybody for your suggestions. You can expect many more Rod and Cane novels. I’m just hitting my stride! BTW, on Sunday, I’ll begin posting excerpts — in six sentence snippets, of course!
