Favorite Lines is an intermittent series in which I quote my favorite lines from books I’m reading. The following is from an essay, “Is Fifty Shades Erotica?” by D.L. King in the book, Fifty Writers on Fifty Shades of Grey.
“I’m the kind of person who eagerly anticipates suspending her disbelief. If I’m having fun, I’m happy to be taken for a ride, kinda like the dog that hangs its head out of the window of the car on the way to the vet. He has no idea where he’s going, but he’s having too much fun to worry about it.”
