No doubt about it…she deserved her own book…#99cent sale

Reasonable Doubts 99 cents until November 26

A kick-ass female defense attorney who is also a spanked wife? The submissive partner in a DD marriage?  When I first started the Rod and Cane Society domestic discipline erotic romance series, I   knew secondary character Liz Davenport would one day have her own book. She appears as a secondary character in Unexpected Consequences and Body Politics (and again in Irresistible Attractions, book 6), but it isn’t until book 5, Reasonable Doubts, that Liz got a starring role.

I had to wait for the story to “gel.”  I’m glad I waited because it gave me time to find the perfect man for Liz.  Of all the Rod and Cane books, I think this one is the most like real life. If your secret desire is to be spanked and you want to introduce the subject to your partner, Reasonable Doubts will resonate with you.

Reasonable Doubts blurb

Widow Liz Davenport assumes when she begins to date, her new man will be like her late husband–a member of the Rod and Cane Society and an experienced disciplinarian who can provide her with loving guidance she requires to feel grounded and secure. So why is she attracted to Grant Davis, an ex-Naval JAG officer who works for her nemesis and has never spanked a woman in his life?

Events in his recent past have forced Grant to take stock of his life and try some new things. But spank a woman? He’s never considered that before, but with Liz’s coaching he’s willing to try.

But when the past collides with the present, will he be able to step up and become the disciplinarian Liz needs?

Reasonable Doubts excerpt

“So, tell me,” Grant said. “Explain this domestic discipline thing.”

His choice of words touched a nerve. “It’s a lifestyle,” she snapped.

“Okay. Not a thing. Point taken,” Grant conceded, and she had to give him credit for an accurate read of her emotions—a good trait in an HoH. Irritation vanished, and her hopes inched up a notch. Maybe this thing with him could work out.

“Spanking does occur in domestic discipline relationships, but complementary roles are what define it in the broadest sense. One partner leads, and the other person follows. The HoH may spank his—or her—partner but the emphasis is on guidance and teaching. Some HoHs—that’s heads of household—are stricter than others. Some couples have hard and fast rules; others play it by ear. It depends on both partners’ needs. I consider myself to be a feminist. But I like having a supportive partner who guides me into becoming my best self.”

“Spanking does that for you?” Grant toyed with a strand of her hair, but his eyes were serious.

Good grief, she was shaking. Liz pressed her knees together. She didn’t get this nervous before a big case. Grant seemed to be taking this well, but he hadn’t committed to anything. What if, once he had all the facts, he still couldn’t offer what she needed?

She took a breath. “Spanking grounds me in the moment, causes me to focus on the here and now. It’s almost meditative. That’s why I like maintenance spankings.”

“Regular, routine spankings. It’s like a relationship tune-up to reinforce the roles of dominance and submission.” Her pussy contracted as she imagined experiencing that intimacy with Grant. Of him lovingly reddening her bottom and then cuddling her afterwards.

“Wow,” he said, but it didn’t sound like a good wow.

Liz’s heart sank.

“You want me to spank you regularly.” He reiterated her point.

Liz considered recanting her confession to relieve the discomfort but channeled her Elizabeth Alexander persona to remain focused. She couldn’t back down because her well-being and happiness depended on this. “And though I may dislike it and disagree at the time, I want you to discipline me when I need it.”

“You mean…punish you?”

“It’s more complex than that, but yes.”
