Some photos from my trip to Ireland and Scotland

In April and May, my husband and I took an 18 day motor coach trip to Scotland and Ireland. We’re lazy travelers. We like going, but dislike planning, so an organized trip works well for us.

Scotland scenery from the bus window. (sorry, bus window was a little dirty). When I thought of Scotland, this is what I pictured.
Glamis Castle in Scotland.
Field of yellow canola — from which canola oil is made. Scotland.
No trip to Scotland would be complete without a visit to Loch Ness.
The Scots have a sense of humor. I loved the creative business names. This store sold dressers, chests, and door knockers.
Cliffs of Moher in Ireland.
Pretty countryside, somewhere along the Ring of Kerry in Ireland.
Blarney Castle in Ireland! I did not kiss the Blarney Stone. I was reluctant to put my mouth where millions of of mouths had been. I did climb the 109 steps to the stop of the tower and SEE the stone. The castle grounds were beautiful.
Enjoying an Irish coffee at a pub in Ireland. We were fortunate that we had great weather on the trip. It only rained the first day we arrived. It was a little chilly on this day, but I was lucky to get a table next to the fireplace!

A little something I learned on the trip…

I enjoy reading Regency romances, but the British nobility titles had me flummoxed. Who ranks higher than whom? Our Scottish tour guide explained the ranking with a little mnemonic device:
Does Monica ever visit Bill?

    We used CIE Tours,

We booked it through Affordable Tours. Our agent was named Nina, and she did a great job.
