I happened to catch comedian & radio/TV personality Steve Harvey on a morning talk show the other day and he said that it takes only three things to keep a man happy and satisfied:
- Loyalty
- Support
- “Cookies” (sex)
I’ve thought about that and about whether I provide those things to my husband and have decided that DH is probably a very happy man. Do you agree or disagree with Steve Harvey as to what it takes to keep a man satisfied?
I read Steve Harvey’s book a few years ago and found it to be very interesting and accurate. And—disrespect (which would fall under #’s 1 and 2) is often a spankable offense. Hmmm.
My hubby would add “cleaning the house” to that list. 😉
So what you’re saying is, he’s happy if he GETS to do housework? LOL
It’s agood thing I “bake great cookies”…LOL! Seriously, though, I love to bake cookies…literally. As for the list, I think it’s pretty accurate, though I think my husband would take trust over sex any day of the week (not that sex isn’t HUGELY) important. Yup, cookies would be #4 on our list.
I would definitely agree with that list but I would have to add that my husband seems to need constant control of the TV remote too lol.
Definitely those three. If a fourth was needed, well then I’d say laughter. Finding him funny, when he means to be and appreciating his humor. I do believe that there is research which indicates, a man likes it when he can make a woman laugh. Supposedly there is a link between mental fitness and humor. So, there you have it.
Oh, if interested…it only took a second to find on Psychology Today the study. Eric Bressler, Sigal Balshine and Rod Martin found that women want a man that will make them laugh, while men prefer women that will laugh at their humor.
